Open Space Technology

As this National Gathering comes to a close, we invite you to participate in a series of Open Space discussions responding to our conference theme: How can we broaden, deepen, scale up Transition to create more resilient communities?

Open Space is a democratic process. Everyone - lay and expert, young and old, volunteer and professional, men and women - is given a voice and equal footing. Anyone can volunteer to lead or facilitate a group session in response to the central question listed above. There are several operating guidelines: "whoever shows up are the right people" and "whatever happens is the right outcome." The Law of Two Feet encourages participants to travel at-will among various discussions and topic groups.

Just for fun, all participants will board TRA #2017 (Transition Airways, Flight #2017), using synthetic, renewable fuel of course. Your pilot will be Maggie Seeley of TransitionABQ (Albuquerque, New Mexico), a Transition US Board member.  Her crew will be comprised of representatives from Transition US and various other Transition initiatives in attendance.
